By accessing and using Compass and Trades ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.

2. Service Description

Compass and Trades is a platform that facilitates introductions between homeowners and contractors. We provide a matching service that connects users based on location, project type, and other relevant criteria. Our Platform serves solely as an intermediary to facilitate these introductions.

3. No Liability for Services or Work Quality

IMPORTANT: Compass and Trades is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for, any damages, losses, or claims arising from:

• The quality, workmanship, or completion of any work performed by contractors
• Any disputes, disagreements, or issues between homeowners and contractors
• Property damage, personal injury, or any other harm resulting from contractor services
• Financial losses incurred by either homeowners or contractors
• Breach of contract, non-performance, or unsatisfactory work by contractors
• Any actions, omissions, or conduct of contractors or homeowners

This limitation of liability applies regardless of whether Compass and Trades receives payment for facilitating the introduction. Even if fees are paid to us, we are not responsible for the quality of work, contractor performance, or any outcomes resulting from the relationship between homeowners and contractors.

4. Platform Role and Limitations

Compass and Trades provides only an introduction service. We do not:

• Employ, manage, or supervise contractors
• Guarantee the qualifications, licensing, or insurance status of contractors
• Verify the accuracy of information provided by users
• Mediate disputes between homeowners and contractors
• Provide warranties or guarantees regarding contractor services
• Assume responsibility for contracts or agreements between users

Both homeowners and contractors are independent parties who voluntarily choose to work together. Any agreements, contracts, or working relationships are entered into solely between the homeowner and contractor, without any involvement or responsibility on the part of Compass and Trades.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPASS AND TRADES, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Platform
• Any conduct or content of third parties on the Platform
• Any services or work performed by contractors
• Any interactions between homeowners and contractors
• Any damages to property or persons resulting from contractor services

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Compass and Trades and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your interactions with other users, or any violation of these Terms of Service.

8. No Warranty

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
